Our open call for the 2023 residency program was met with great response. After sifting through 30 submissions we selected artist Anna Papaioannou.

In the broader context of researching the character and distinctiveness of life in a coastal area like Sougia, the artist collected and recorded audiovisual content that illuminated the rich audiovisual heritage of the village. The final audio pieces encapsulated the vibrant tapestry of local human activities in an attempt to preserve their memory.
